Is now available from CERISIE the chemical analysis included in REACH regulation for the determination of the aromaticity of hydrocarbon oils used as plasticizer in tyre manufacturing. CERISIE is able to test the whole tyre or sections.

Is now available from CERISIE the analytical method ISO 21461 for the assessment of the plasticizer oil used in rubber compounds, used for the production of tyres (REACH Regulation no. 1907/2006 and EU Directive 2005/69/EC)

The analysis is applied to a specimen of compound recovered from the tyre (tread, sidewall, etc.). The plasticizer oil is extracted from the rubber matrix with acetone and then subjected to a purification. The determination of the aromaticity is then obtained by means of the NMR technique (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance)
