RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

CONSULTANCY

CERISIE answers these requirements by carrying out specific research to order, for example:

	for the choice of materials and ingredients with special characteristics such as those free from toxicity;
	for preparing compounds for the manufacture of articles for specific uses;
	for the optimization of operative cycles, not only from a manufacturing point of view but also from an economic
	one;

CERISIE assures the client on total secrecy related to problems under examination and the exclusivness of the results obtained.

TESTS AND TRIALS

CERISIE can carry out all the principal tests on raw materials, compounds and rubber vulcanizates.
In particular it carries out for members of AIRIEL and ASSOGOMMA and for all firms concerned:

	technological tests on raw materials;
	determinations of the properties of raw, vulcanized and finished rubber articles;
	tests on accelerated deterioration and on resistance to natural and chemical agents controls on accordance of rubber articles to contract clauses;
	reaction tests on contact with foodstuffs in relation to existing laws;

	durometers Shore A, Shore D, IRHD normal and micro;
	Mooney Viscometers;
	ODR and MDR curemeters;
	Rotating cylindrical drum device;

TRAINING

A series of parallel activities to research and experimentation are foreseen in other directions: one related to the training and updating of technicians and the other to specialized information. For this reason general training courses are held on rubber technology as well as monographic and specific courses and stages. As far as information is concerned, CERISIE subscribes to the most important Italian and foreign magazines in the rubber field and also has a good library.
