  • The technical and scientific purpose of the laboratory is to characterise rubber and plastic in compliance with national and international standards. In particular, its goal is:


    • to issue certificates for raw materials, semi-finished and finished products of polymeric nature;
    • collaboration at national and international level for the preparation of technical standards in the industry;
    • the organization of training courses, seminars, conferences and workshops for employees in the sector;
    • technical support and consulting for businesses in designing materials, processes and products.

It represents the industry with the public administrations and authorities and workers unions. Provides information, assistance and consulting to its members.
